Hold Up! Maybe Ask Yourself Three Questions Before You Call The Cops?

Reading Time: 6 minutes

Are the cops need in every single situation in our lives? With gentrification comes a clash of cultural issues. This has been there for a long time, but with Trump administration currently in the White House, it seems that there’s a hypercritical look at everything including checking out an AirBnB, eating at a Waffle House, working out at a gym and playing golf with friends. It seems that the police are working overtime to protect Whiteness from the mundane activities of the everyday.

People see the police officer as their enforcer and protector in the community; a human being of high standards and knows almost every reasonable law in the book. That is what we see reflected on our movie screens and televisions, so we would think that most matters can be solved by bringing the police into it.

For my first post, I’m going to cover my exclusive Instagram experimental series called thought.remixer.bytes.

Why do I call it that? I just thought it would be cute to call one-minute video segments “bite site”. Throw in a computer term and boom… memorable! It’s experimental right now, as I’m trying to find a flow to produce the series as quickly without sounding repetitive or recycling other people’s points.

While I do make them for Instagram, I don’t mind sharing them on this blog to help centralize the content. Instead of three separate posts, I’ll post them up in one post, they are captioned and everything, so you’ll know what I’m talking about in each one.

Let me know what you think of them in the comments below… or on the actual videos!

What’s up, people?

While blogging isn’t a new thing for me, it has been years since I last posted on my own blog independently from other platforms. I have been posting on Tumblr formerly as WhatWhitesWillNeverKnow and presently as thoughtremixer. Then there are a few videos here and there. But to have a place where everything is together has been lower on the to-do list until now.

If you been here before and wondered where all the old posts went, they are gone. Most of the items are too irrelevant for me to keep online and some will return updated, but I rather keep this new blog clear of all those items. It helps motivate me to keep bring the flavor without being too attached to past accomplishments.

So, what are we going to talk about on this blog? Well, if you even read the Tumblr blog, it’s pretty much the same thing, but there will be more original posts here, and I will only post when I feel I can add to the conversation in a new way.

If this is your first time here, may I suggest getting familiar with the man behind the blog?

If you’re looking around & wondering why it’s bare, well, I did say I’m starting over. So, there’s not a lot to see. But as the days turn into months, you’ll see more, categories, tags and all.

If you subscribed to this blog via other ways before, you’ll notice that they are all gone… some due to inactivity, mostly because the services are not around anymore. Oh well, that’s why we’re starting over. If you want to subscribe by email to get alerted about posts, you’re free to do so on the sidebar.

Welcome to the new thought.remixer. A lot has happened since the last time I blogged in this space… so… let’s just get to it.
